Triple Reverse Four Bar?

We have all heard of the four bar, six bar, eight bar, and the double reverse… But what about a triple reverse? This is probably the most silliest idea I could come up with, but is it logical in this year’s game to here that added height?

It’s not practical. You can already get enough height out of a DR4B, depending on how you build it. A triple reverse four-bar (TR4B) would lose the advantage of being perfectly vertical, and would also have less space in the middle, since the third stage would set you back at least two inches of usable space. That’s not to mention the extra weight.

Also compounded friction, as the third stage has yet another joint.

If you really need more height, I’d suggest a double reverse 6 bar, but you should be fine with a DR4B.

I would really love to see one in action though :stuck_out_tongue:

This is why you build a quadruple reverse four bar. Linear AND mega unstable!

Also you can’t really go beyond an rd4b because of width limitations. You might be able to do a rq4b but you sure can’t mount anything inside.

I might try to build one out of Technic pieces because, personally, I want to see one in action as well

Yes. 81M built a DR6B for Skyrise and scrapped it due to severe tipping issues.

See if this link works… in the down position.

Wow… Didn’t expect to find one that was supposed to be used in a legit competition…

Discobots used a DR6B for Skyrise.

Another pic before it tipped and tipped again…

I understand that there are DR6Bs that we’re used in games, but has there been a TR4B that has been implemented to be used in a tournament?

No, because it doesn’t make any sense.

Sorry try this link. Opened up sharing… My bad.
