Tutorial / Helpful Tips Videos

Hey guys. Team 323Z is going to be putting together a library of videos for the VEX Community. We will be talking about how to properly construct different components, talking about good building habits, and how to compete well and design a robot.

We are looking for specific topics to talk about. What videos would you be interested in watching? I will (personally) create an Autodesk Inventor tutorial for VEX.

We are thinking like (how to):
Intake Design
Lift Design
Drive Design
Math Formulas
compete well
design a robot
CAD
Strategy
Scouting

What else? We will have multiple videos on each subject. Let us know!

Another important thing is learning how to reinforce structures with adequate parts but not overbuilding either. Building strong is important. Especially highlighting GEAR SLIPPAGE. Tricks like using braces etc. Just another thing to include.

What other things would you like to see? It doesn’t matter how small or little it may seem. This is for all of the VEX community. That includes beginners. What things did you wish you knew when you first started out?

A few beginning teams have asked us how to write their engineering notebook and do an interview with judges. A quick explanation of how all of it works would help a bit.

Oh perhaps hanging and transmissions?

I was thinking transmissions, but I was going to CAD those first. I will see about hanging.

Maybe how to properly space/ build a tower, that could go under robot structure though. Another thought could be on basic programming.

This might be for more advanced teams but, how to properly use pneumatics,
