Ultra quality tools?

Does anyone have tool brands like Hilti or Snap On for their robot?

Wiha does just fine for us for allen keys. Good prices at MSC on them too.

If you are looking for high quality Allen keys I suggest the brand Park Tools. They are a bike part company that carries tools for bikes. I been using a set from 2006 and there are still good not even stripped

We have even been having trouble with Wiha 5/64 lately. I’m not sure if it’s the latest round of Vex screws or what, but they are stripping easily and have resulted in damaged tools.

We have been using Dynamite Allen Drivers. Dynamite is an RC tool company and stuff like vex is right up their alley.

I strongly disagree. I’m really into RC car racing and am very familiar with Dynamite products, and I am always disappointed with their quality (except for the chargers which are outsourced anyways) I’ve owned 2 sets of Dynamite tools, and they both stripped out relatively quickly. Then I made the switch to MIP tools, and I have been very happy with them ever since. I use MIP for both my RC cars (metric sizes because I drive Losi cars if you know what that is) and Vex. Definitely would recommend them. They even sell a vex specific kit now: MIP Hex Drivers Metric/SAE | MIP Online

I strongly dislike Dynamite lol.

You have a point. I’ve personally not had a chance to use MIP tools. They seem really high quality I’ve just not personally had experience with them. So I cannot vouch for them. The dynamite sets we use have held up fairly well so far, with the exception of the logo rubbing off the handle. The set also seems really similar to an E-flite set that I have at home. They’re almost identical actually with the exception of having red twisty bits at the top instead of blue. So there could be some sort of rebranding deal going on.

The “twisty bit” signifies metric vs imperial, iirc.
