@joshua.lim The definition of a Robot per <R1> does not mention its associated Preload, thus the Preload is not considered part of the Robot and is exempt from the 18" starting size restriction established by <G3> and <R4>, which only mention the Robot and not the Preload. In other words, the Preload may protrude outside of the 18" limit as long as the Robot itself is in compliance with <G3> and <R4>.

No. The robot and all of its parts cannot extend out of the 18x18x18 limits. However, the preload itself can be outside of these size restrictions.
