Unofficial Response: Questions Regarding Cubes in Skills

Question one:

In the skills PDF it states that all rules in the game section of the starstruck game manual apply in a skills run.
SG4 in the game manual states that each Alliance must introduce its Driver Control Load during the Match. The Driver Control
Load must be entered into the field with between thirty seconds (0:30) and zero seconds (0:00)
remaining in the Match.
In the video below the first 18 seconds of the skills run aren’t shown, but the driver control loaded cubes had already been scored.
Was this a reffing mistake, or have I missed something in the rules?

Question two:

Is the cube that is placed in the starting tile placed in the center of the opposite tile from where the robot starts, or can the drive team choose where on that tile it starts? I couldn’t find any rules to reference.

Robot Skills Loads – The three (3) Stars and two (2) Cubes that Student Drive Team Members may
load onto the Alliance Station Alliance Starting Tile or into their Robot at any point during a Robot
Skills Match.

A robot skills load can be entered at any point in a skills run.

The cube should be loaded in the tile next to the driver station.

I read through it twice and missed that.
Does that mean that the robot is only allowed to start on the tile opposite from the hanging post?

I don’t know. I guess you could start on any tile, but the rules do not even specify if you have to start on the red side or not

EDIT:

At the beginning of each Robot Skills Match, the Robot must be placed such that it is
touching the Alliance Station Alliance Starting Tile, not touching any Scoring Objects other than those
permitted by , and not touching any other foam field tiles.

So I guess you must start on that tile opposite the hanging pole.
