Yes any vex part is legal. If it was made vex iq you can use it same for vex vrc

Section R6 of the game manual is usually the go to for part legality. Read through the criteria for a legal part and see if you think whatever material would be legal.

None of this is a legal part and cannot be used in competitions.

Curious to know how do you intend to use this mobile goal?
Currently we are using it mainly to keep all the screws and nuts.
Dunno how they intent to use it, but as an EP we use it as base of drive station base for our V5 connections.
We also use Tower Takeover as field markers (Purple field, Green field, and Orange field - we found red, blue, and yellow mobile goals for field names confused students 
)
We have used star struck fences as barriers between spectator area and competition fields (not effective - people just go over them … we did find people respect really big monitors on the floor displaying ranking an other information effective)…
