Heh, I meant for the purpose of assessing whether or not a particular instance of a student using AI output is appropriate. I mentor with decades of experience, too 
I believe in students.. it’s just that the prompt and the notebook text were far apart in the example.
I think Foster’s reply to me makes a strong point. You could ask an adult to give you feedback, so structured LLM feedback that does not generate text you use in the EN makes sense.
AI is great at summarizing documents, so I prompted ChatGPT for a concise statement summarizing the RECF Engineering Notebook - Purpose & Honesty:
The notebook must be 100% student-written and authentic, showing you went through the Engineering Design Process — no AI , no copying — judges will know if it’s not yours.
