Is it safe to use all 12 motors without a power expander? will motors not receive enough power, or will the internal breakers on the cortex flip? how much faster will batteries run out?
Batteries have never been a major issue for us when running 12 motors all on the cortex however the breakers are quite easy to trip if you run most of the motors at the same time. So it really depends on your situation if you’re only running a few motors at once you should be fine but if you need to run most of your motors at the same time I’d recommend using a power expander.
it would probably be fine then. most of the time, only 4-6 motors are in use at one time on our robot.
