using arduino infrared switch

hello everybody, this is my second year in VEX U and my first time I’m using a non-vex sensor.
the sensor is HR Adjustable IR Obstacle Avoidance Infrared Sensor switch.
Since it is a switch it will work on the cortex without any interface right ?
and it should be configured as a bumper switch or limit switch in digital sensors ?

All 3 options will achieve the same result. The only difference, if I remember correctly, is that configuring it as a bumper or limit switch will invert the states of an obstacle being detected and no obstacle being detected (1 and 0)
