Autonomous means “no humans.” During the Autonomous Period, Drive Team Members are not permitted to interact with the Robots in any way, directly or indirectly. This could include, but is not limited to:
Activating any controls on their V5 Controllers
Unplugging or otherwise manually interfering with the field connection in any way
Manually triggering sensors (including the Vision Sensor) in any way, even without touching them
How does everyone interpret this rule when it comes to match loads. If you are not pressing a button, but are just dropping the ball onto the robot, is this fair in the autonomous period? Also it says the alliance tri-balls can be used as ‘preloads’. Is this the same for autonomous or just driver period?
This question has been asked before, and we asked the poster to read the Game Manuals regarding specific game rules relating to Match Loads <SG6>. Apparently, the note specifying when Match loads is overlooked upon first reading. I quote it here:
Note: Match Load Triballs may only be introduced once the Driver Controlled Period has begun.
During the Autonomous Period, and during the time between the Autonomous and Driver Con-

Welcome to the forums! Good job citing a relevant rule, but you missed the most important rule. Read the ENTIRETY of sg6 (I know it’s long) and come back if you need clarification after that. I hope you find what you need!
Glad to see you’ve spent some time reading the rules. It is important to read all of the rules and apply ALL of the rules that apply to a situation. I’m sure if you re-read all the rules you will find the answer to your question, as there is no room for interpretation.
