Using non vex brand anti slip mats

Are we allowed to use non vex brand anti slip mats such as these https://www.amazon.com/Anti-Slip-Mat-under-grip-Skid/dp/B00KYU1NK2. I know the rules state that other brands have to be the same as vex but i’m not sure if these are the same.

The drawer liner sold at Lowes and Home Depot is used by many teams, and is an acceptable substitute. (same color as VEX, too).

Make it is same size as sold by vex. At events I have seen inspection fail because it was not equivalent size as sold by VEX.

Does it have to be the same design? Like the vex brand ones are in a grid but some drawer liner is more random lines.

The Lowes/Home Depot is identical, so there would be no questions asked. If it’s not, then there is a possibility of an inspector rejecting it.

The product must be identical in function so it needs to be a grid of the same thickness that is equal to or less than 12"x15"

Be careful with some Amazon Mats. They disintegrate over time and have about 1/4 the life span of ones from other sources. On the plus size, they have many more colors on Amazon.

I imagine it depends on the brand you use, amazon is just a connection service, connecting buyers to sellers. You could not recommend the brand, but amazon as a whole isn’t at fault. (unless amazon brand anti slip is a thing?)

@9065_Parker you are correct, I shouldn’t lump all Amazon mats together. The ones from Viper Tool are the ones I had issues with.
