Using "seconds" to control Clawbot claw openning and closing

I understand that using “seconds” instead of “degrees” or “rotations” with the movemotor - clawmotor command will allow the claw to close and not get stuck by being unable to complete the specified number of degrees or rotations.

But how do you use “seconds” to move the clawmotor in the opposite direction. That is, to OPEN the claw?
