Using VEX s valve for a kinemathic robot

Hello
We want to create a robot that works with kinematics but we have a problem with the materials we are using to be specific the valve. We can’t find VEX’s official valves so we thought we could use one that we found but we are not sure if it is permitted to use a non-vex valve. Does anyone know if it is permitted to use our own non-VEX valve?

Only SME components having the same part numbers at in the VEX kits are allowed. You can find most components (if they are in stock) directly from SMCpneumatics or radwell.com
