V5 battery appears broken

Our battery doesn’t turn on, nor does it light up when plugged in to charge. Is there any way to reset the battery, or is there a quick fix for technical problems like this? Failing that, will VEX replace the battery?
This is essentially a death knell to our team for competition if it can’t be repaired, as we have no way to get another one.

The issue is being investigated, but now fix as of yet, other than to let the battery sit for a while (24 hours+) then try pressing the button.
