I have a battery that, after practicing for some time, has got the red flash error of doom (One single red flash, nothing else). After using a paper clip to reset the battery, which it did “fix it,” as soon as the brain turns on the battery goes back to red. After repeating this 3-4 times I found the battery flashing red every time the brain is on. I then resulted to charge the battery for around 5 minutes, and the robot worked but very very slowly (This is the battery at 85% charged, according to the remote when the brain is connected). After about 3 minutes of practice with the robot going slow, the battery flashed red again. I opened the VEX Firmware utility and ran the battery diagnostics with the battery plugged into the wall and the brain, and saw nothing wrong except “Under Volt Errors” on dark red with “11” below (So 11 Under volt errors I’d assume). Is there any advice I can get? Also, I found this article to be quite confusing to my problem at least.
Charge the battery. Don’t keep resetting the battery. The red flash indicates under volt so charge it for at least an hour, ignore the charge capacity, you made that inaccurate when you used the reset button.
