V5 Brain - Always Needs to Update & Doesn't Work for Students

I am an 8th grade Robotics teacher and I am having so much trouble with the Web Based V5 code website that my students are using. Every day, the Brains need to be updated and I don’t know why. The students have tried multiple cables, brains, and even different computers. I cannot move forward with coding when the brain won’t work. Right now, the students are going into the devices on the brain to turn on the motor manually, but I would like them to automate.

What version of VEXos are the brains running? You can check this by going to the devices screen and tapping on the brain icon. If it’s less than the latest (1.1.2) then it might need to be updated. You can try running the update using the non web version of vexcode v5.

1.1.2 Is the version the web based coder is trying to update the brains to. I just don’t understand why it has to be updated every day. Even between 1st and 2nd hour it has to re-update. I’ll try the V5 program to see if it works.

But what is on the V5 brain, is that 1.1.2 also (check on devices/brain screen)
Are you connected directly to the V5 brain using a USB cable or to a controller ?

I have not checked what it says on the brain. I will check. Also, we are plugging directly into the computer. I do not have any controllers.
