Hello. My team’s robot has been giving us a white screen roughly 40% of the time. From other forum posts, I can tell it might be a problem with heating and potential fried. None of us have smelled smoke. We have swapped the battery and it’s gotten better, but we still sometime get the white screen. Anyone have any ideas why?
What situations cause the white screen? How many ports are being used? For both questions, it’s a possibility that maybe, buckled with brain damage, the brain may be overloading.
I doubt it, but based off the giant amount of white screens you’re suffering, as well as the fact a charged battery somewhat fixes it, I think it might be a problem with the brain dumping the information from an overload.
But, context might completely change that idea.
On another brain, or when you can see the screen on this brain, do a battery voltage check. I’ve seen both V5 and IQ screens give just a white screen on very low voltage battery packs. (On IQ it’s when one of the internal cells has decided to die)
Replace the battery cable, we had this and it was a faulty battery cable
