Is there a CAD file for the V5 claw assembly only? I purchased the super competition kits and they do not come with them. I spoke with VEX Sales today and was told they are working on producing and selling the V5 claw, but no date is available. I have a school printing this for me, but not sure if they can only pull the claw assembly from the file. Any help is appreciated!!! FYI - I ordered the Super Competition Kit instead of the Classroom Competition Starter Kit.
I don’t think so, since most teams that use cad are advanced and adavanced teams don’t use cad. Most of the parts in the claw are in the library for vex parts already. I think other than the claw the part that grasps.

The V5 clawbot is available as a .step file from vex, and I built a Solidworks model of the whole thing and posted it to GrabCAD. Before you can just “print the pieces” for the claw, you’ll need to do a fair amount of work in CAD to pull out the individual parts. For example, you won’t be printing the screws and nuts that hold it together. You’ll need SolidWorks, OnShape, or Inventor. Personally, unless time and materials are completely free, I think you’ll be ahead just buying a Classroom Super Kit. Besides, unless you’re VEX-U, a 3d printed claw isn’t legal for competition either.
If you know what CAD package you have, I might be able to have one of my VEX-U students pull the claw out of the model and do a “pack and go” for you of just the claw.
Yeah I noticed when I opened the file in Fusion 360 it would not be as easy as I assumed.
I downloaded the CAD package from VEX under the V5 Bundle and Kits. I then opened it in Fusion 360. I can see the claw file, but like you said there is the elimination of nuts and bolts that you have to account for and I am not experienced in CAD. I ordered the wrong kit for starters and I do not think my school will be happy with me ordering another $1200 kit for a claw. I spoke to VEX and they said I could print the 3D claw and use it in competition. If your students could pack and go that claw for me, I have a school that is will to print it for me here in Vegas. That would be so awesome of you!!!
I’ll see what I can do, and post it here on the forum. Probably be over the weekend that they will work on it.
