I have a vision sensor that can connect to computers, however it doesn’t show up in the device list on the cortex.
Any reset or firmware update solutions?
does the led on the vision sensor flash when you plug in the USB cable ?
are you on Mac or PC, if on PC, are the drivers loaded ? does it show as a vision sensor in the device manager ?
Yes, the light on the vision sensor turns on when plugged into the computer, and I can set the signatures and scan them from the computer’s vision utility, however, the vision sensor does not connect to the v5 cortex.
When connected to the cortex, it’s LED flashes on, but it does not show up in the device list. I tried with another vision sensor on the same cable and it showed up and worked properly, so it isn’t an issue with the cable.
Ah, ok, I thought you meant USB wasn’t working.
so if another sensor is working and this one is not on the same brain, it sounds like a bad smart port on the vision sensor. probably best just to call vex support and get it exchanged.
