V5 vision sensor programming

I’m very new to programming and try to help my son School team with their new V5 robot. I’m trying to program the robot to sense a color and turn to a centerX by using a while statement. We are using the VEXcoding studio and c++. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanksimage

What is the code doing right now, and how is that different from what you want it to do?

Also, it would be helpful if we could see the entire program. Please copy and paste your code into a reply, wrapped in [code]…[/code] tags for nice formatting.

Note also that VCS is discontinued - the replacement is VEXcode V5 Text which uses the same language and can easily import your VCS projects.

Vexcode text from what I understand, with the new release just today, will support graphical robot configuration, to make ti much easier, it also uses a more effcient platform.

Not sure how to paste the code but the code doesn’t stop turning after it has reached the originX but I’m not sure my coding is correct. I posted a picture of it could u view it
