We have been having some trouble finding the optimal compression for a vertical flywheel. How much compression do you have on your flywheels? We are using a single 4 inch wheel with a 8.4 to 1 gear ratio. We are also using a top belt intake. Thanks.
The best way to find out is to test. we found that on our horizontal flywheel we liked to use 14 ‘holes’ between axles (Excluding the holes the axles go through) and using 4" omni wheels. But it is up to personal preference.
it depends on what flywheel you are using (single, double) As well as how fast you shoot and your recovery time.
No one can tell you the optimal compression as it varies from flywheel, to flywheel.
depends on the amount of distance you want covered. The more compressed the ball, the greater the distance. i prefer about .5". Remember not each ball is manufactured the same.
