So… I was just told that that I have to change my autonomous because I wont be able to use Vex coding studio in a few weeks, something about Vex shutting it down. And just as I got the autonomous to stack 6 cubes not including the one starting in our robot (I forgot to put that in). Someone please tell me there’s another program that uses C++ that I can just copy and paste my current autonomous to!

Just upload a copy of your code to v5 text then it will work just fine. The main difference is motor setup and not having prebuilt commands.

It does use C++ but you have to setup your motors with text not that hard just giving you a heads up
You can import VCS C++ code directly into VEXCode V5 Text - this will include all your motor configuration information. It is painless.

What do you mean shutting VCS down. Although I have VexCode, will I not be able to use VCS even if it is already downloaded to my computer?

File → Import … might be a start.
then the motor config would be in the .h files.
V5 Text 1.0 will be our tmrw and it’ll support the graphical robot view
Vcs works of you already have it, but it’s bad. Vexcode text is way better. It looks cooler too

does anyone know if vexcode text is coming to chromebooks because I don’t bring my coding computer to school, so it would be convenient if vexcode text was on chromebooks.

It is not advisable to specify a specific release date. Unless you are officially certifying that it will with some evidence.
Otherwise many will be upset recalling the pain of “ships in 8 weeks”, “VCS update will be coming”…
Best let the actual working release inform decisions …
