I have combined some of the ideas in this thread to create the ultimate “water” game.
Puck Attack! (a.k.a. tower turning struck)
Puck Attack is played on a 12ft by 12ft square field by two alliances, one red and one blue, each made of one team each (To take out the majority of luck in vex). The object of the game is to have less points the opposing alliance, by using Pucks and Capsules. Pucks are scored by launching them underneath a bridge through the middle of the field, in which a robot cannot pass over. Pucks are worth more points In different goal zones in parts of the field. Each alliance has one red, one blue and one yellow goal zone each on their side. Each puck scored in a yellow goal zone is worth 5 points each. Each puck scored in a red or blue goal zone is worth a base value of 3 points each. However, capsules, when hit by pucks, use the water incapsulated inside them to flip to the other color, which is either red or blue. Each capsule with the red side down at the end of a match adds a bonus 2 points to all pucks scored in both red zones. The same applies to the other side of the capsule, blue. An autonomous bonus of 15 points is awarded to the team that has the least points on their side of the field by the end of the 15 second autonomous period. All pucks and capsules are not officially scored until the end of the match, so this means any scored puck can be removed from any zone at any time. At the end of the match, when all objects have come to rest, the match is scored. Robots will compete to shoot pucks back and forth under the bridge, and will have to use fast thinking to know when to flip the capsules to the right colors. There are a total of 24 pucks on the field, and 6 capsules.
Enjoy!..
