A new VEX Structure Product has been released, the VEX Base Plate Pack.

P/N: 276-1341 - $29.99

VEX Base Plates are designed to serve as a foundation on which to build a robot. Use them to create a large stationary robotic arm, or interlock them to build larger manufacturing type systems. These pieces can also be used as large structural pieces in other robotic applications.

15-holes wide x 30-holes long
Made from cold rolled steel, 0.046" thick, zinc plated.

it is also cheap enough to get and cut/bend into custom parts
is there an aluminum version coming any time soon? :wink:

It looks a lot more intended for stationary robot mechanisms rather than competition robots. This doesn’t really seem to have an obvious use for a VRC robot…
