Vex CAD software for Linux

Recently I have been trying to use cad for designing vex robots. Up until now, i have been using Inventor on windows, but over time with more and more updates, Windows & Inventor have slowed down til the program is almost unusable. Since i am dual booting with Linux, i thought i might try using a different cad program. I tried FreeCad, it was super clunky and had many bugs, I tried OnShape, but could not import the Vex parts CAD files as they were .STEP files. Anyone know of any good cad software for Linux? (preferably free, but doesn’t have to be)

You can use OnShape with a community-created VEX part library, such as this one.
