Here is a 3D Scan of a Hero1 Robot, which I made using a VEX Cortex Microcontroller based prototype 3D Scanner.
Nice blast from the past, the Hero was one of the last Heathkits that I built.
Can you do one about the 3D scanner part?

It is the 0.5 PIC brain!!! Very, very cool!! It predates the Cortex controller by a number of years. It has a small PIC microprocessor. It was state of the art in 2005.
You might want to replace the wheels with omni wheels, that will give you more of a chance for it to circle smoothly.
Pretty cool to see tech from 2006 still doing great things!
