VEX EDR TSA Nationals Format Rules

At TSA Nationals VEX competition do they follow VEX rules where you have an alliance and the final 6 choose partners? Our state TSA competition we do not follow this format , due to lack of teams, but may merge our TSA finals with a VEX event this year. My big question is what do they do at TSA Nationals? This will help us in our decision process.

At TSA Nationals they run skills to determine the rankings. The 8 teams with the highest skills scores then competed in a bo1 bracket.

And this bo1 bracket is 1-vs-1, with no alliances.
