We are deciding on sensor placement for our clawbots;
where is the best place to have the “Vision Sensor” and the “Distance Sensor” for this type of build?

where are you wanting the sensor to detect things and what are you wanting it to do after it detects it?
Currently we the distance sensor placed behind the claw, and the vision sensor atop near the red gear.
We want it to detect the wall and we have coded it to avoid if within a certain distance and to print an image on the screen, or green and a all clear if not. But we are needing to have the claw first moved up.
The vision we want it to pick up certain items and move them to a location in the grid. It seems to be a little high up and might need to be at an angle?
I’m wondering if someone has found ideal placements for these sensors(vision and distance). We have success when we code it to do such maneuvers if we hold the item or place an object close to the sensor, just not exactly for movement yet.
We also have a bump sensor on the back and that seems to be an ideal spot.
