The team would like to add LED lights for under the robot. Since they already have the vex flashlights, I suggested maybe they could replace the clear LED’s in the Vex flashlight with blue ones.
Anyone know the spec on the LED bulb cluster in the Vex Lights?
I haven’t seen specs posted anywhere, but perhaps they could just cover the opening of the Vex flashlight with some dark blue cellophane? That wouldn’t give the same deep-blue as real blue LEDs, but it would be a lot easier and cheaper.
If you really want to go for the pimp factor, mount some of these under the bot. They are spec’d to run on 12v, but I have a very similar CCFT/Inverter and a Vex battery seems to have enough voltage to drive it. Either hook it straight to the battery for continuous glow, or hook it to one of the PWM->DC Motor Controllers to turn it on/off via software.
Ok, I can’t do a link right. It’s a monday.
Try searching ebay for “USB blue LED light flexible”.

They want the lights on all the time so their thought was simply put the the power leads to a connector just like on the flashlight and use a motor port.
