Unsure if this is something to post about here but this is my terrible dog Duckhunt (named after the dog from duck hunt, because they bring me equal amounts of rage.) The body and head are modified from the Allie the alligator build, legs were free build. I think I’m gonna turn this into a long term (ish? I’m gonna keep it around a while.) Probably just going to code it to roam around and not bump into tables. She definitely needs improvements but I don’t get to work on her as much as I would want because I made her to pass the time as a teacher aid lol. Just wanted to share. If anyone wants more info ask ig? I’m always happy to talk about my silly projects.
Any plans to make the legs actually move? This would probably make it move slower, but it would look quite cool. If you are wondering how this can be done with just one motor per. leg, it can be done with a mechanism similar to the “choo-choo” catapult mechanism, just without tension buildup.
Things you can add:
Sonar sensor on the face to be the eyes, that will give you object sensing.
Motor to wag the tail.
LED sensor, you can program it to go from Green → Red, then the puppy needs some more pets to move again.
Looks like it was fun!!
originally the motors were in the body and the legs did move, I was going to have it more like, sit up, stand, lay down, beg etc (I had a whole plan based on color coordinated bones and everything) unfortunately these motors SUCK. I am in the trenches. The standard alligator build could barely stand, no clue why I thought this would be different. I’ll look into it, but I have very little faith in this thing lmao
We’ll see! This thing is incredibly… unstable
