Last year I noticed a lot of teams used VEX IQ chains and sprockets for their intake in V5RC Over Under, and this year I also noticed that some teams used VEX IQ chain and sprocket this year. While reading some prior vex forum posts I saw that someone said they specifically made VEX IQ chain and sprocket legal in the 2022 season, but I saw nothing allowing this in the game manual, so I would love some clarification on this rule.
V5RC 6p sprockets use the same chain as VIQ sprockets, but just have a HS hole. When they’re referring to IQ sprockets, they’re most likely referring to V5 6P sprockets, which are legal.
If they are using the IQ sprockets themselves (and not just the chain), that is illegal.
