vex microcontroller

Hi, just one thing I have a trouble with the microcontroller, I was testing some autonomous programs but when I disconnect the usb wire to check the program the microcontroller doesn’t works,
the programs just work with the USB plugged.

what can I do for fix it?

What programming software are you using? If in Robot C, go to the Robot Tab > VEX Cortex Communication Mode > USB. If you are in VEXnet or USB, it is searching for a VEXnet connection. In USB mode, if you compile the program to the Cortex, disconnect the USB cable, then turn the Cortex on, it will run whatever program you have complied. (Unless you are using the competition template, then you will probably need a competition switch). Others may be able to give you better directions. Good Luck!

I could be wrong, but you need – read the above post to do it without vexnet – to be linked to a joystick using the vexnet keys if you are not connected via USB.

From the 2nd picture, it appears you did not insert the keys. Assuming you own a pair of the keys, you must link the microcontroller with a joystick first with the orange programming cable, once they connect you can use the vexnet keys to connect the two together wirelessly.

I would double check that i have a battery plugged in and that the brain’s switch is turned to the “on” position.

Also, you may want to try testing it with a competition switch and VEXNet.
