Vex Serial Port not working

Hello,

I’ve downloaded demo version of intelitek easyC pro and tried to download the program into the micro-controller. I’m connecting from USB to serial to microcontroller. It seems like that the compiler sees the microcontroller as I can choose the serial port without an error and under intelitek loader, I can select Controller verification under options tab, and it says “Controller veficiation complete”. However, when I try to download the program, it says “Com port open”, “Not connected”, and tells me that I should make sure that the power is on and the serial port is connected.

Any solution to this?

Check go through the list of comports until you find one that works and then try it. There may be several that you can select but only one will work. You can also go into the System and under Devices, I think…, you should find the the USB adapter listed. It should list the com port it is on. Also search the forum for other solutions to this problem.
