My name is Hellen Ye and I worked at VEX Academy. I proudly announce the release of VEX STEPmaker v1.0Beta!

The VEX STEPmaker is designed primarily for students and teachers of VEX teams, allowing users to create customized VEX parts by inputting parameters only, which enable the assembly of VEX robots more efficiently and precisely.

Installation

To install the VEX STEPmaker, download the software and ensure that you installed FreeCAD 0.21.2 on your Windows computers.

Set up and run the Software

  • Available on Windows 10 /11

  • Install FreeCAD 0.21.2 first. Ensure that the FreeCAD folder is located under C:\Program Files\FreeCAD 0.21.

  • Download the VEX STEPmaker setup file to your computer.

  • Double-click the .exe file to launch the installer and follow the installation steps.

  • To run the Software, type “VEX STEPmaker” in the Windows App search box, then click the VEX STEPmaker icon.

I don’t know if these parts are spelled wrong in the program but

The word in this case is spelled “Angle” which is mesured in degrees, radians… nnot “Angel” which is a divine being.

This seems very practical to me to make the necessary changes to some elements that are part of the structure, it seems that we can achieve something similar to the (Autodesk Fusion 360 Parametric Function).
In STEPmaker we can export the components to which type of extension. I also believe it would be interesting to create a tutorial on how to install this resource.
