I have a vex v5 motor (18:1 gear ratio) received in new shipmen.t When checking the motor’s revolution and degrees on the brain, both remain at zero. The motor is just spinning really fast. I have tried changing which port the motor is plugged into on the brain but did not help. I am to new to vex and not sure if the DC motor needs replaced or if it might a different fix.
That’s sounds like a defective motor, as it was just received, contact vex support and get an RMA.
