Vex wings movements

Dear Forum,
I have wings i am trying to make but i have no clue how i am going to rotate them with the axels do you know any pieces i can use sincerely JoBro.

Hi,

It looks like you are trying to spin the C-channel. You can try these lock bars: Drive Shaft Bar Lock (8-pack) - VEX Robotics or the plastic version and screw them onto the c-channel. The square hole in the middle is meant for axles.

R18 - A limited amount of custom plastic is allowed

g. This rule does not apply to 3D printed plastic parts. 3D printed parts are not permitted in the VEX Robotics Competition, except as non-functional decorations (per ) or as custom License Plates (per ).

R18 will answer your question.

will these bearings work

The ones on the right should work.

only the one on the right will work. If you are trying to make wings I recommend that they fold from the topd down rather than the suide as they get pushed back easily

what do you mean do you have any videos or photo i can see i don’t get what ur saying

I was going to reply that I had never seen vertical folding and then this youtube popped in my recommended to watch videos. https://youtu.be/RruZ4rR-gUA?si=brv6x42tCoSnSLMK
I wonder if it has a similar problem with being pushed up as the horizontal ones have with being pushed back. This one seems high enough tri-balls would get under it and push it up. It’d be helpful to see it in action.

thanks thats a cool concept butttt do you think mine will be able to be pushed back because its a motor wont hat mean it can lock?

of course it can lock, but the reality is that the motor isn’t strong enough, if motors could look that would mean full traction chassis would never be able to be pushed.
