I am having trouble connecting several VEX IQ robots to VEX Code. When we connect them, the icon turns orange and says, “firmware out of date”. When I force an update on the robot, it still says, “firmware out of date” when I plug it in again. Any ideas??
The robots show the latest version of firmware, and it works on some of the robots.
This is unfortunately a known issue that will be fixed in the next firmware update for IQ.
To resolve it, you can go to “Settings” → “Erase User Programs” on the IQ Brain before connecting the brain to the computer. This will repair the brain’s catalog and should resolve the issue moving forward - you should only have to do that once.
