Vexcode Pro V5 not recognizing brain or controller

Hello there! I am currently attempting to connect my vex v5 controller and brain to VEX code pro v5 and I’ve run into a major issue. The issue is that I seemingly cannot connect my controller or the brain to the application. Every time I plug in my controller, it just starts charging and every time I plug in the brain, the application does not give the download feature here:

I’ve looked at several other posts here on the forum, however there were solutions that were either outdated, or otherwise didn’t solve my problem/were accessible to me. I’ve tried a different windows operated device (a second laptop I have) and the problem still persists. If anodyne has any possible solutions I’d appreciate it a lot! Thank you.

Have you tried using a different micro-usb cable? Did you check to make sure the drivers were properly installed?

It is difficult to come up with solutions unless you can tell us specifically what you have/haven’t tried.

yep, turns out the issue was the cord I used :skull: , sorry for wasting time, however It was probably because the USB wasn’t the right type (like it probably wasn’t 3.0 or something). Thanks.

sorry to reply to something that has already been solved, but some usb cords dont support logic, and are solely used for charging devices
