I’m currently a teacher assistant for a V5 class and we just entered our programming unit. While it’s been fine for the most part but one of the student’s Chromebooks stopped connecting to the bot via controller and brain. After doing some more troubleshooting I chalked it up to a fluke with an older Chromebook model. Today though another student encountered the same issue and I’m wondering if this is a known issue and if there are any fixes? Let me know if you need any other information and I’ll try to provide it
A few things to check first.
- Have you tried using a different USB cable?
- Have you tried using a different V5 Brain on those computer?
- Does the V5 Brain work with the other computers that are know to be working?
If you are still having issues, please submit feedback in VEXcode from the computers that are having issues connecting. When you submit the feedback, make sure that you have tried to connect the brain to the computer and let it sit there for a minute before sending the feedback. Please make sure that the feedback has a clear message indicating the issue and that the diagnostic data option is checked before you send the feedback.
