VEXnet Field Controller kit

What is and for what VEXnet Field Controller?

When running competitions - the VEXNet field controller signals robots (up to four) if they are in standby mode, autonomous period, or driver period through a cable connected to the robots connected to the field (plugged into the RJ45 port on the V5 Joystick Controller).

This system is in the process of being replaced by the V5 Smart Field Controller (essentially a V5 Brain with custom software and specific firmware). Teams connect to the V5 controller via V5 Smart Cable to the V5 Smart Field Controller.

It is important that teams connect to the correct port on their V5 Joystick Controller.

Teams if they have a spare V5 Brain, can load field control application to test.

Teams can also use a manual field switch to test field control.
