do vexplorer and Vex (regular starter kit) mix together because I was thinking of buying a Vexplorer and trying to combine them?
The structural parts such as metal beams and fasteners are all compatible, as are all the rotary components such as axles, wheels, and gears.
As for electronics, you can use VEXplorer accessories on the Vex controller, but not the other way around. The VEXplorer camera and lights plug right into the Vex controller, and VEXplorer motors can be attached using an adapter.
