I would like to know what the approximate lag time constant of the Victor 884 is. In other words, if I apply a step change in the input, how long will it take the output to 63.2% of the final value?
I’ve heard through the grapevine that the number is around 500 msec, but I’m hoping that it is actually less.
The loop rate on the Victor 884 is 120 Hz or about 8ms. Therefore you can not send data faster than about 8ms or the Victor will not see the data. Once the new data has been processed, the output changes almost instantaneously but the next change will not happen for about 8ms.
