In the game manual for spin-up, this year’s rule is the rule about autonomous meaning no human interaction. It states.
Autonomous means “no humans.” During the Autonomous Period, Drive Team Members are
not permitted to interact with the Robots in any way, directly or indirectly. This could include, but is not
limited to:
• Activating any controls on their V5 Controller(s)
• Unplugging or otherwise manually interfering with the field connection in any way
• Triggering sensors (including the Vision Sensor) in any way, even without touching them
From my understanding is my team would be allowed to ask the opposing alliances drive team members to move from behind the high goal to where it will not interfere with our vision sensor? Is it considered human interaction to sense a red or blue shirt?
Nope, you misunderstand. You can point out to the Head Referee if the team are wearing t-shirts that look like high goal red or blue baskets. The referee can make a determination, but my gut, is most cases the referee will allow them to stand wherever they please in their drivers station.
Also, the points you refer to are specific to your drive team’s interaction during autonomous.
so no you can’t ask teams of opposing alliance to move unless they are wearing objects that are intentionally used to mimic game elements. So just having a blue shirt does not work - plenty of teams have all blue team uniforms.
second, the quoted section deals with your drive team’s actions.
