Okay but like what is up with the wheels?

The starter competition kit only comes with two omniwheels. I’m assuming the small wheels are to get a slant and make intaking discs a little easier?

It’s to support the floating intake so that’s it’s able to go lower for the discs.

So instead of using the skate wheels, could swap it out for the smaller omni wheels?

I get that the herobots aren’t supposed to have any cut parts, but can they at least cut the axels? I’ve cut them with a file before. It shouldn’t be that hard for new teams.

The point is to be able to reuse all the parts in their intact form. Not a bad idea for early season prototypes. Once you get close to competition, then it makes sense to finalize the design/build.

This was for iq, but I’m assuming it’s the same for Disco

for the rollers, you can drive up and just use the indexer as a roller spinner

Any idea on when the instructions will be out for the hero bot? I have a summer program and wanted to give this to the extra newbies who have not built a robot before.

Like @Team03906 we are looking for a CAD model for Disco. I know VEX doesn’t usually release this. Has anyone made one?
