Update on Teams and Events
In the last several weeks, our numbers worldwide have risen above
7,200 teams, which means that there are tens of thousands of students
who are learning about Science, Technology, Math and Engineering.
Best of luck to all of the teams that will be competing in the 100

Calling All Volunteers!
The 2013 World Championship can not happen without your help.
Volunteers can sign up on line using the registration system which is
now open. Volunteers will receive a free 2013 WC t-shirt, free lunch
the day(s) they volunteer, and those who volunteer 3 full days can
be eligible to receive volunteer rates. There are a limited number
of discounted rooms for our out of town volunteers. The form is

VRC World Championship Travel & Event Information Is Available!
If your team has qualified for the 2013 VEX Robotics Competition
World Championship, then you should start preparing for your trip to
Anaheim, CA as some of the hotels that are nearest to the convention
center are filling up quickly. Book quickly for the best
availability.

Note: Don’t forget that if your team qualifies for the 2013 World
Championship between February 1st and March 1st, you have two weeks
to register and pay for your registration.

U.S. National Championship
The 2013 U.S. National Championship will take place on March 7th-9th
at the Ralston Arena in Ralston, NE. Team registration is still open
until February 20, 2013. Do not miss out on this exciting robotics
event. If your team has not qualified, but would like to be on the

The Robotics Education & Competition (REC) Foundation welcomes

VEX Forums
The VEX Forums continue to be a great source for teams to share
information and grow in their STEM experience. If you have not been
there recently consider setting aside a few minutes and see what is
happening around the World in VEX Robotics. The teams attending the
World Championship use the VEX Forums to start scouting and preparing
for their great adventure. With a variety of users ranging from the
Rookie team to the seasoned Veteran there is something for every
level of expertise.

Global Newswire - http://globenewswire.com/news-release/2013/02/06/521415/10020839/en/Northrop-Grumman-Foundation-Robotics-Education-Competition-Foundation-to-Create-New-Robotics-Teams-Worldwide.html reports that The Northrop Grumman Foundation announced a
partnership to establish 200 new VEX Robotics Competition teams in
locations worldwide and support the program’s outreach. In addition,
the partnership will support the VEX Robotics Competition World
Championship in Anaheim, Calif., April 17-20, an event that will
attract more than 700 teams and 15,000 students for three days of
robotics engineering competition.

Global Skills Challenges

Global Skills events are still open and the top scores from official
events held through March 3, 2012 can advance top teams to the World
Championship Event. Events held after the March 3, 2013 deadline
will not be eligible to submit scores into the ranking.
