**VRC Team Registration **
There are currently more than 7,100 teams representing 20 nations competing in more than 600 events globally.
**Toss Up! **
The 2013-14 VRC season is well underway, with high scores of 94 and 53 set in the Robot Skills and Programming Skills Challenges respectively. Keep up the good work!
A reminder: when inflating your Large Balls to the required 15.5" please make sure to do it slowly. This will ensure the ball does not burst at its seam.
**The Online Challenges - **
http://cts.vresp.com/c/RECFoundation/96fce7fef1/00dd9902b7/ec35556bd0 are now open for submissions through January 14, 2014. Teams should remember that participation in at least two Online Challenges is a prerequisite to being considered for the Excellence Award at the 2014 VRC World Championship.

**Skills Challenges **
The Global Skills Challenges provide additional opportunities for
teams to earn a qualifying spot at the 2014 VEX Robotics Competition World Championship. The top 30 team scores in both the Programming Skills and Robot Skills Challenges as of DATE TBD, 2014 will earn a qualifying spot for the 2014 VEX Robotics Competition World Championship.

**VEX Volunteers Needed! **
Calling all volunteers for local, state, and regional competitions as well as the 2014 VEX Robotics Competition World Championship: Volunteer positions remain open. We need volunteers for team registration, inspection, and queuing. We also need scorekeepers, referees, and judges. Whether you’re a first time volunteer or an experienced inspector, all skill levels are welcome. If you are interested in a specific event, please contact its Event Partner for more information. **UPDATE: Autodesk Software Grant for VEX Teams! **
Autodesk is granting AutodeskÂ® Design Academy 2014 software licenses to schools that have a VEX program. The location of the grant information has changed. To apply for a grant or to learn more about the program go to the VEX tab http://cts.vresp.com/c/RECFoundation/96fce7fef1/00dd9902b7/53f5e7a1b2 at Autodesk’s website and scroll down to the section titled “Free software for in classroom and student competition use.”
**VEX U World Championship Registration **
Attention VEX U teams: registration for the World Championship -http://cts.vresp.com/c/RECFoundation/96fce7fef1/00dd9902b7/f5b599d437 is now open. All registered and paid VEX U teams that wish to attend the event should be aware of the following requirements:
Half of the initial 50 slots will be reserved for international participants. Event registration will be open to all teams on a first-come, first-served basis until December 20, 2013. A wait-list will open as soon as the event reaches capacity. The VEX U World Championship event will expand to 2 divisions with 40 teams in each if the wait-list reaches 70 teams by January 21, 2014. Priority will be given to wait-listed teams that have participated in an official VEX U event prior to February 15, 2014 if capacity is still less than total demand. Wait-listed teams will be notified by March 1, 2014 if they will receive an invitation to the VEX U World Championship. It’s not too late to form a team. Teams are encouraged to register for regular season events around the world to be better prepared to participate at the World Championship.

Join us at the Anaheim Convention Center in California on April 23-26, 2014. The 2015 World Championship will also be in Anaheim from April 22-25, 2015, so plan ahead.
