VEX Robotics Competition Volunteers to receive a 2011 Maryland Governor’s Service Award
The nomination was for the 250+ people who volunteered 8000+ hours in 2010-2011 helping put on the VRC events in Maryland.
What this means: If you volunteered at a VRC event in Maryland in 2010-2011, and the event partner has given me your name or you were in a judging room with me, I will be working with the Governor’s Office to get you a personalized really nice certificate to recognize your volunteering. These will be distributed through the event partners.
Also includes all those volunteers from out of state who traveled to Maryland to help out.
There will also be information about VEX competitions in Maryland posted on the Governor’s site. I will be attending a ceremony on behalf of all the volunteers. I asked the event partner for the Mid-Atlantic Championship to be my guest.
