Subject: VRC World Championship Awards and Judging Information

Dear VEX Robotics Team,

This email contains specific information on awards and special judging details for the 2009 VEX Robotics Competition World Championship in Dallas.

. There are a number of awards which will be partially judged in advance of the VRC World Championship based on submissions made by teams online. Four (4) awards require that written essays be submitted for a team to be judged for the award - these are the: Teacher of the Year, Mentor of the Year, Community Award and Unite Award.

Two (2) awards, the FUTURE Award and Design Award require an interview with judges at the World Championship including a prepared presentation for the Future Award and a review of the team Engineeing Notebook for the Design Award. Teams must sign up in advance to get an interview time for either of these awards.

If your team wishes to submit to be judged for any of these awards, please do so at: Robot Events. < Robot Events> Teams must submit to be judged for these awards by noon Dallas time (CST) on Monday, April 27th.

. Most of the awards will be judged at the VRC World Championship during the event. Judges will be observing and interviewing teams throughout the competition (mostly all day Friday and Saturday morning). The full list and details of all the awards being given at the 2009 VRC World Championship can be found in the Awards Appendix (E) along with all the other game documents on the VRC Competition - Elevation page. <[http://www.vexrobotics.com/vex-elevation.shtml >

We hope the above information on awards and special judging details is helpful. As always, you can find a lot of information, ask questions and view answers to questions in the VEX Forums. https://vexforum.com/forum.php

You will receive additional emails over the next couple of days with the following information: party information, participant waiver forms, team lists, division assignments and more.

We look forward to seeing the award submissions from many of you.

See you in Dallas,
