isn’t VEXs office in dallas? seems like going west would be back to their hometown. new cowboy stadium, maybe?? it’s huge! the convention center was cool last year too… lots of space

based on past years, they like to choose a venue with a large event hall and an arena. I don’t think that it is going back to Dallas because why did they leave Dallas in the first place?
They left Dallas because the dates the convention center was available conflicted with the FIRST Worlds…
Thus, they had to find a new venue… Originally, they were planning on having it in Dallas again…
And if they want my vote, I’d say go back to Dallas! Plane tickets were reasonable, the conference center was great, and there was plenty of space and hotels!
While I agree that moving back to Dallas would make sense, the way the headline was presented on the VEX website leads me to think that it is something far more interesting.
Isn’t Honolulu west of Orlando? Isn’t Auckland (or is it east)?
Well if you want to play that game, Worlds next year could be at Cape Canaveral, Its directly west of Orlando. Maybe NASA went beyond just sponsorship.
I guess they will have some extra space… We could hold matches in the empty vehicle assembly building!!!

Hawaii and New Zealand teams save tens of thousands of dollars
Everyone else pays tens of thousands of dollars extra
As awesome as that would be for my team, I can’t see VEX doing it.
Not to mention that I don’t think there’s any special events arena/convention center in Hawaii that can hold that many teams. If only you could like scrunch the Hawaii Convention Center & the Stan Sheriff Center close together 
Dallas was spacious and all, but Disneyworld seems like a much more exciting place to have a robotics competition =P
I liked dallas… nice hotels nearby, big area to compete in, room for the afterparty…
That said, somewhere in/around LA would be nice save us buying a second set of flights
I liked Dallas. It’s really close to where we are, and easy to get to.
I can tell you with 100% certainty that it will be Disneyland in Anaheim for 2012.
I’m more excited about that, than this year’s local. I’ve only been to California once, so I am really looking forward to it.
We have already put in in our budget for next year.

If world’s is in fact going to be held at Disneyland next year, it makes the trip a lot less expensive for the west coast teams…
Though if it was in SF then my team would be about 40-ish miles away…
Well no matter where it’s hosted next year I’m sure it will be awesome. We’ll all find out in a few days anyway! (although I hope the new game and new venue are posted on Friday because my team don’t really WANT to wait very long…we will if we have to though haha)

At least we know the people attending worlds will know. It probably will be on here I’m not sure that we will though. I guess I should’ve thought more about what I was saying…
