Wearing headphones/earbuds while driving

I personally wore headphones last year and all the alliance/ref communication was done through my drive team and they filtered and communicated the stuff I absolutely had to know. My teams driver yesterday wore headphones during skills and I think during a few matches but he had it on low volume and could still hear the rest of the drive team and refs. If it helps you, make sure its okay with the EP and Refs

There was a team at the US open last year that was plainly obvious that a mentor was coaching the team from farther away. You could watch the adult talking into his headphones, and one of the students had headphones as well. They were warned multiple times, however never penalized.

We had an organization like that in region - we had the drive team unplug when queueing to fields - coach was not happy. Kids did fine - probably happy not having joystick coach in their ears…
